Revenge, Karma, etc....
Revenge
Ever done it? Ever had it done to you?
Or Karma - the saying "What comes around, goes around" -ever seen it happen? Ever wanted to act on the Revenge, but didn't and saw the Karma happen?
Mine is the Karma (which, I totally believe in and live my life by) - when I was doing my internship I worked for a terribly mean boss who used to chase me around the office screaming because a client from Egypt called and I wrote down the number incorrectly - that, and among other things he used to love to yell at me until I would leave the office crying. It was a terrible experience working for him and I couldn't leave because I was doing an internship for school and needed to stay. This boss no longer has his buisness and has alzheimer's really bad. Which, it is so sad even though I hated working for him.

Oh, yeah, revenge. I have wanted to exact it many, many times but never have. Belief in karma has been my consolation. If I believe that the person who hurt me will have to deal with the consequences of his or her actions, then by the same token, I would have to deal with the consequences of mine if I responded vengefullyt at him or her. In the moment of hurt or anger, however, it's hard to think clearly and logically.
Great question, T2!

I learned at a very young age that what goes around comes around - and usually picks up speed!
Unless I'm being directly threatened, I prefer to let karma take over.

It feels good, deep within your being, to see revenge and karma happen to those who have wronged you.
But personally, rather than set revenge on others, I'd like to think that karma will set the universe straight in the end. I've experienced karma first-hand, and can only hope that those who have hurt me will experience the deep pain as well.
I LOVE to hear revenge stories though... freaking hilarious!!

I honestly don't wish any negative karma on anyone- I just trust they will 'learn' from their behavior.(it's hard) And from what I know about karma, the intention is more significant that the actual act itself. The belief is what's important. Karma is a tricky subject, I don't like fooling around with it. I try to just be a decent human being and not worry about other people. It drives me crazy when I do.

Never. I've been tempted, but the satisfaction of knowing I'm classier than the person doing the hurt to me - the satisfaction that I'm not sinking to their level and that at the end of the day, they have to burn a lot of precious energy fooling themselves that their actions were justified - really reassures me.
That being said, once in the throes of the original break up with The Ex - which was a year-long, painful beyond painful experience - I did, almost frivolously, ask God to punish him for being so mean to me and then breaking my heart. Not really hurt him, but punish him, kind of.
And the next day, a van ran into his work van (when he wasn't in it.) Because he'd wanted to save money, he didn't have the proper insurance on it, and it cost him a pretty big chunk of money to fix the damage. Since the other person didn't stop or leave a note, their insurance couldn't cover it, and it was his work van, so he had to cough it up.
And it was exactly, in fact, the amount he borrowed from me for rent one month when we were living together when he was a little short and then "forgot" to ever pay back.
Karma?

I have learned that revenge take A LOT of energy and I just don't have it to give I believe that people do get what is coming to them because they eventually do it to themselves.
